It’s kind of hard to aim for what you think is the perfect career. You can’t control how many people respond to your music. You could be a nobody or you could be the Rolling Stones. You don’t get to decide.

And it’s okay if you find out your favorite artist “borrowed” something from a song they liked. It doesn’t make them less-than. In fact, it might make them greater-than, because if you were obsessed with making music that no one had ever made before, you’d probably never get out of your bedroom.
