This was my daughter’s first ever concert.  It was her birthday present for her 3rd birthday.  

Kings of Leon (with Chris Martin) - Hollywood Bowl, Hollywood, CA

2016

Art Alexakis (Everclear) - The Roxy, West Hollywood, CA

He really shines solo with an acoustic guitar telling stories.

Brian Fallon / Ryan Bingham - The Wiltern, Los Angeles, CA

Lucero - El Rey Theater, Los Angeles, CA

Thanks to Sailor Jerry, I was there for soundcheck and got to hang out with the boys.  Made a request that they play “Hey Darlin’, Do You Gamble?” and then went and got drunk with them after the show.

Jon Bunch Memorial Show - Yost Theater, Santa Ana, CA

Texas is the Reason / The Aquabats / Rocket from the Crypt / Samiam / Knapsack / Strife / Scream / The Bronx / Gameface / Sense Field with guest vocalists: Garrett Klahn, Richie Birkenhead / Popeye / Walt Schriefels / Zoli Teglas

Sad losing Jon Bunch from Sense Field, especially so young and so needlessly, but this was an incredible show.

Sponge - The Whisky, West Hollywood, CA

Vinnie still had it.  He was the only remaining member from the time I saw them in 1995 but they were great.

Danzig (with Doyle) / Superjoint Ritual - Nokia Theater at the Staples Center, Los Angeles, CA

The Dead Kennedys / The Gears - Hollywood, CA

No Jello obviously, but the rest of the original band and a pretty good Jello imitator.  

Tiger Army - Octoberflame, Santa Ana, CA

Dwight Yoakam / X - Century City, CA

Free show announced on the radio.  My friend Scott and I went down early and hung out a long time to get in.  Billy Zoom was sick for this show, but still a great time.

Whitey Morgan & the 78s - The Whisky, West Hollywood, CA

2017

Courtney Love - Santa Barbara Theater, Santa Barbara, CA

I don’t care what people say, she was a force and this show was great.

Los Lobos / The Blasters /  X - Nokia Theater at the Staples Center, Los Angeles, CA

Another show I went to with Scott, I’ve been a Los Lobos fan since La Bamba and it was awesome to see them.  La Pistola y el Corazon is still one of my favorite records even though I understand very little Spanis
